In this stage, we design the first drafts of your site or application.

What we do

Usually we design two or three different concepts. We produce a home page or main screen for each concept, plus one or two second-level pages or screens.

We create the designs on paper, either drawing them by hand or using a rough, ‘hand-drawn’ look in a software application. At this stage the concepts will show the key features of the design, without time being wasted on minor details.

In design sessions, users typically respond to a ‘rough’ sketch with their feedback more easily, since it looks unfinished. Working on paper allows us to quickly produce many iterations of the design at low cost (as opposed to coding a prototype).

To create the designs, we use the business goals, user goals, usability goals and content assessment developed during the analysis phase.
